Mr. Ginn, millionaire and owner or scores of elite hotels and resorts in the US and Carribean, has bought the Burke Mountain ski area. He plans to develop the land into a new resort called "Bridgemor". Similar to the grotesque Plum Creek development plan in northern Maine, Ginn's resort will raise local taxes, damage the natural environment, and change this small rural town into a "vacation destination" for out-of-state (and local) yuppies. Over the course of 10 years, Ginn plans to build at least 1,024 new condos and houses, golf courses, and a hotel. . .

Does anyone have any commentary on this? More information? Is there anyone advocating for people in East Burke who do not wish to see this development come to fruition?
